Iran's hostile approach continues to undermine security and stability

Iran’s heinous aggression against the country continued, targeting vital and military facilities in blatant defiance of international laws and norms, as well as the UN Charter. Treacherous drone attacks struck vital government facilities in the north of the country, military installations, and civilian vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubyan Island.
While the Armed Forces continued to counter and neutralize the treacherous drone attacks, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s condemnation and strongest denunciation of the continuation of Iran’s heinous aggression against the country. This reflects an insistence on persisting with an aggressive approach that undermines regional security and stability and exacerbates tensions. Waves of Arab condemnation of Iran’s treacherous behavior, which targets Kuwait and sister states, continued, representing a flagrant and ongoing violation of international law and the UN Charter.
On the ground, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, announced that the Armed Forces had detected hostile drones within the country’s airspace since dawn on Saturday and had engaged and destroyed them. He noted that “Iran’s heinous aggression targeted several vital facilities, including a government facility in the north of the country and civilian vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubyan Island, resulting in material damage from falling debris, with no reported human casualties.”
On Friday, Al-Atwan announced that the Armed Forces had detected hostile drones within the country’s airspace at dawn, which were engaged and destroyed. In a statement to the Ministry of Defense, he said that “Iran’s heinous aggression targeted several vital and military facilities. Hostile targets were engaged and destroyed, resulting in material damage from falling debris, with no reported human casualties.”
Al-Atwan emphasized that “the Armed Forces continue to carry out their duties and responsibilities with high efficiency, within the framework of continuous readiness and constant preparedness, taking all necessary measures to protect the sovereignty of the homeland and safeguard its security and stability, in coordination with competent authorities, to ensure the safety of citizens and residents.”
Politically, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed “the State of Kuwait’s condemnation and strongest denunciation of the continuation of Iran’s heinous aggression against the country, which targeted several vital facilities today, including a government facility in the north, as well as civilian vehicles belonging to a civilian company on Bubyan Island, using hostile drones. This constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a serious breach of international law, the UN Charter, principles of good neighborliness, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.”
In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry reaffirmed that “the continuation of these blatant attacks reflects an insistence on persisting with an aggressive approach that undermines regional security and stability and exacerbates tensions.” The Ministry renewed its “affirmation of Kuwait’s inherent and legitimate right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, interests, capabilities, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.”
In a statement on Friday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its condemnation and strongest denunciation of the continued, heinous Iranian aggression against the country, which targeted several vital and military facilities using hostile drones. This act constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a serious breach of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817. The ministry affirmed that “the continuation of these brazen attacks represents a dangerous escalation and reflects a systematic hostile approach that cannot be justified or accepted.”
Politically, Arab positions of condemnation and denunciation continued in response to the ongoing Iranian aggression. The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budawi, expressed his strongest condemnation and denunciation of the heinous Iranian attacks that targeted a government facility and civilian vehicles belonging to a civilian company in Bubyan Island, Kuwait.
In a statement by the Council’s General Secretariat, Al-Budawi noted that these heinous attacks are a continuation of Iran’s hostile policy aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the region. They constitute a brazen assault, a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents, and a serious violation of the principles of international law, the UN Charter, and a blatant breach of Security Council Resolution 2817. He reaffirmed the GCC’s full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
For its part, the United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the aggressive Iranian attack targeting Kuwait. In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that “this aggressive attack constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability,” reiterating “the UAE’s full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for all measures aimed at preserving its security and stability.”
For her part, the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the repeated heinous Iranian attacks on civilian and vital facilities in Kuwait, which constitute a brazen violation of its sovereignty, security, and stability, a direct threat to the safety of civilians and residents on its territory, and a serious breach of international law, the UN Charter, and a blatant violation of Security Council Resolution 2817.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised, in a statement, the competence and readiness of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, which intercepted and destroyed several hostile drones, reaffirming Bahrain’s full solidarity with Kuwait and its complete support for the deterrent measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity.
The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement, Yemen’s full solidarity with Kuwait and Jordan, and its stance alongside them in all legitimate measures they take to protect their security, sovereignty, and the safety of their citizens. It placed “full responsibility on the Iranian regime for continuing this hostile approach.”
The statement also affirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with Kuwait and its standing with it in all steps taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
For its part, the Muslim World League strongly condemned Iran’s continuation of its heinous attacks on Kuwait and Jordan, as well as the drone attack on two ships in the port of Damietta, Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Secretary-General of the League and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, reiterated in a statement his denunciation of these criminal attacks, which target infrastructure and civilian and vital facilities, violating all religious values, international laws, and human norms, and posing a serious threat to the security, stability, and safety of the region’s peoples.
Al-Eissa emphasized full solidarity with Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt in all measures they take to safeguard their security, sovereignty, and the safety of their citizens and residents on their territories.
