Al-Jahra Governor: Invasion Anniversary Renewal of Pledge that Kuwait's Sovereignty and the Dignity of its People are Inviolable Constants

Al-Jahra Governor Hamad Al-Habashi said that “the painful anniversary of the brutal Iraqi invasion is not merely a recollection of past events, but a renewal of the pledge that Kuwait’s security, sovereignty, and the dignity of its people are inviolable constants, and that our national unity will remain an impregnable fortress against all challenges.”

Al-Habashi added in a statement, “Today, on the anniversary of August 2, we stand in a gesture of loyalty to a homeland whose sons wrote bright pages of resilience and sacrifice with their blood, and which, through its faith, unity, and cohesion around its legitimate leadership, overcame one of the most difficult phases in its history, until Kuwait regained its freedom and sovereignty, and its flag flew proudly and honorably once more.”

He pointed out that “this painful anniversary is not merely a recollection of past events, but a renewal of the pledge that Kuwait’s security, sovereignty, and the dignity of its people are inviolable constants, and that our national unity will remain an impregnable fortress in the face of all challenges. Today, amid the criminal Iranian aggression targeting our country’s security and sovereignty, our national responsibility is renewed to strengthen cohesion and stand as one united front behind our wise leadership, to protect our homeland and safeguard its stability.”

We pray to Almighty God to protect Kuwait and its people from all harm, and to perpetuate upon it the blessings of security, safety, and stability, under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and to keep our homeland proud, secure, and stable, and to perpetuate upon it the blessings of honor and prosperity.
