Minara Abdullah Al-Ghanem mourns her brother Saad: Abu Shahin... We love you and we miss you

O you who were a symbol of generosity and compassion, noble in your character and in your religious and worldly deeds, who loved your wife Jumaa, your brother Thunayan and his family, and your sisters, we will never forget you. You are with us and among us in every moment, yet we submit to God’s will and wisdom.
I will never forget the minute, hour, day, and date when I received news of your passing while I was abroad. But I thank God that I had bid you farewell a few hours before my departure, and I wished to return and see you again, but God’s will is stronger.
You were devoted and loving to everyone you knew. Your joy was your Sunday gathering at the Al-Ghanim diwan in Al-Fayhaa with the distinguished men of the family—may God protect them—and your Tuesday gathering at the diwan of the late uncle Jaber Al-Ghanim, may he be in the highest Paradise.
They say that grief over the loss of someone close and dear to you begins intensely and then diminishes with time. They are right, but they did not say that losing a beloved one causes longing and yearning to grow day by day, and that our separation from you brings us pain.
Abu Shahin, we love you and miss you. We long for your presence and for our conversations with you about old Kuwait, Sharq, and the fereej, and our discussions about the Al-Ghanim family and its branches, since together we specialized in talking about the family and its branches.
May God have mercy on you and grant you a place in the highest Paradise. The heart still aches with sorrow at your loss, but be at ease: we are all well, united with your family and relatives, loving one another, and committed to staying in touch every Tuesday, as you used to bring us together.
