Spanish Prime Minister in Ceuta: We are accelerating the repatriation of migrants; rumors behind the influx of thousands

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said, “We are accelerating the process of returning migrants who entered Ceuta irregularly since yesterday.”

During a visit to the enclave of Ceuta on Friday, Sánchez stated that “the Spanish government stands with the city of Ceuta. We understand the feelings of anxiety and tension experienced by the residents over the past few hours, especially today.”

This comes as Spanish authorities announced the deployment of additional security forces to the enclave of Ceuta following the crossing of tens of thousands of migrants.
