40,000 migrants crossed the border between Morocco and Spain's enclave of Ceuta

Around 40,000 people crossed the border between Morocco and the Spanish enclave of Ceuta in recent days, an area expected to be visited by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, a Spanish police source told AFP on Friday.
The flow of migrants continued through the night until Friday morning, with the vast majority of those crossing being young people and teenagers. Eighteen of them drowned while attempting to cross the border by sea, according to the source.
