Jawhara Al-Sabah: Enhancing women's participation in peacebuilding and decision-making

Assistant Undersecretary of State for Human Rights Affairs, Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Al-Sabah, emphasized the importance of integrating efforts among various government entities and state institutions to enhance women’s participation in peacebuilding and decision-making, and to support their role in achieving security, stability, and sustainable development.

This came during a seminar organized by the Ministry of Interior on Wednesday, hosted by the Arab Institute for Planning, under the theme “Women, Peace, and Security,” as part of national efforts to implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security in Kuwait.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release that Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Al-Sabah’s lecture at the seminar was part of the ministry’s efforts to raise awareness of human rights concepts, strengthen women’s roles in various fields, and consolidate the principles of partnership and institutional cooperation, in line with Kuwait’s orientations and international commitments.
