Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, announced the opening of the Al-Mutla’a Cooperative Society’s market in the N8 district on August 27, alongside the upcoming launch of 33 investment units within the cooperative. This move aims to complete the cooperative and service infrastructure in Mutla’a City, provide essential services to residents, and keep pace with the city’s rapid population growth, thereby enhancing the society’s facilities to better serve its shareholders and local residents.

This announcement came during a field visit by Al-Ajmi to Mutla’a City, accompanied by the appointed manager of the city’s cooperative, Abdullah Al-Sa’idi, and the administrative cooperative supervisor, Mamdouh Al-Harbi. During the visit, they inspected the cooperative’s market in the N8 district to verify progress percentages, monitor final works and technical and service preparations, and assess the market’s readiness for its opening. This ensures the facility will operate according to the specified schedule and deliver comprehensive services to citizens and Mutla’a residents.

Al-Ajmi stated that the visit implements directives from the political leadership, instructions from the Council of Ministers, and recommendations from the Minister of Social Affairs, all aimed at accelerating the completion of service projects in new residential areas. He emphasized the importance of on-site monitoring of progress and addressing any issues that could delay implementation, ensuring all works are completed according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Al-Ajmi stressed that field visits are a fundamental pillar in monitoring the ministry’s projects, allowing for the immediate identification of any observations or challenges and enabling prompt decision-making to address them. This approach ensures adherence to scheduled timelines and achieves the highest levels of quality in project execution.

He clarified that the market’s opening marks a new phase in the ministry’s plan to complete Mutla’a Cooperative’s facilities, confirming that the ministry continuously monitors all cooperative projects to ensure they enter service on schedule.

He added that a tender for the 33 investment units of Al-Mutla’a Cooperative will be launched next week, in accordance with the regulations governing the investment of cooperative branches. This process aims to reinforce principles of transparency, fairness, and equal opportunity through clear and announced procedures that guarantee competitive integrity and equal access for applicants.

Pointing out that launching the investment units concurrently with the market’s opening will accelerate the operation of cooperative and service activities, allowing investors to commence their operations as soon as possible.
