Al-Watani Enhances Youth Skills in Interviews and Job Market Preparation

In line with its ongoing commitment to supporting youth and developing national talent, Kuwait National Bank (KNB) organized a specialized workshop for Kuwait University students, focusing on interview skills and methodologies. The initiative aimed to equip students with practical tools and real-world experience to help them prepare for their upcoming professional careers and enhance their chances of success in the job market.

The workshop witnessed strong engagement from participating students. It featured specialized sessions covering the key foundations of interview success, effective preparation strategies, and techniques for professional self-presentation. Additionally, it highlighted common mistakes made by job applicants and ways to avoid them. The workshop also included practical exercises and realistic scenarios simulating actual interview environments, giving students the opportunity to apply what they learned and build further confidence and readiness.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharifa Al-Houti, Talent Acquisition Specialist at KNB, said: “We firmly believe that youth are the cornerstone of Kuwait’s future. From this perspective, we are committed to launching high-quality initiatives that contribute to preparing and qualifying them for professional success, in alignment with their aspirations and the demands of the modern job market.”

Al-Houti added: “Personal interviews represent one of the most critical stages in the job search journey. Therefore, through this workshop, we aimed to provide students with the practical skills and confidence needed to showcase their abilities and potential optimally to employers.”

She continued: “We strive through this workshop to help bridge the gap between academic education and job market requirements by providing students with practical insights and essential skills that enable them to approach job hunting with greater confidence. We believe that introducing young people to the realities and expectations of the work environment is an important step toward building successful career paths and empowering them to achieve their future ambitions.”

Al-Houti emphasized that KNB offers a model work environment based on continuous development, learning, diversity, and employee empowerment. This has made the bank one of the most preferred employers in the private sector among recent Kuwaiti graduates over many years. She noted that the bank provides advanced professional training and development programs, offering employees and young professionals continuous opportunities for growth and career advancement.
