Closure of grocery store selling food supplies

The inspection team of the Al-Farwaniya Governorate conducted field inspection rounds at several commercial establishments in the governorate, resulting in the issuance of 101 violation reports for various infractions, including the closure of a grocery store selling subsidized food supplies.

According to the Ministry of Commerce’s official account on the X platform, the violations varied between commercial fraud, the sale of goods of unknown origin and prohibited for trade, and the seizure of a shop selling gold items that lacked the Ministry’s stamp (seal), as well as failing to display price lists and lacking the country of origin for the goods. A grocery store selling state-subsidized food supplies was also seized and immediately closed. Additionally, one domestic labor recruitment office was found in violation of ministerial decisions prohibiting cash transactions.

Furthermore, 13 violation notices were issued to establishments operating without a license or engaging in activities different from their licensed nature.
