The Gulf Football Union Reveals Its Official Identity and New Name

Doha, KUNA - The Gulf Football Federation (GFF) unveiled its official identity and new name on Thursday, marking the beginning of a new phase in its journey and strengthening its institutional presence in line with the developments being witnessed by Gulf football across various global arenas.
In a statement on its website, the federation said that, based on a new vision that links the legacy of the past with future aspirations, it is revealing its official identity and new name, reflecting a qualitative leap in its trajectory.
The new logo embodies values of trust, vitality, and modernity, drawing inspiration from the region’s identity, culture, and heritage, while simultaneously expressing the rapid development of Gulf football and inspiring rising generations.
The logo features a distinctive visual element: a dynamic ribbon that reflects the movement and fluidity characteristic of football, symbolizing the federation’s renewed identity, which stands for connectivity, trust, harmony, and shared ambition.
Commenting on the occasion, GFF President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani said, “We are at a pivotal moment in our growth journey, and it is essential to adopt a new identity that reflects the transformative path we are preparing to embark on in the coming decades.”
He added, “Our vision for the future remains steadfast; we aspire to contribute to enhancing the global presence and success of Gulf national teams and clubs.” He clarified that this new identity “embodies our ambitions to achieve unprecedented levels of excellence and success.”
He noted that “over the past few years, we have been able to build strategic partnerships that have supported the development of Gulf football and strengthened the growth of the federation’s tournaments, consolidating the status of its competitions and reflecting the growing passion for football in the region, thereby paving the way for new horizons of excellence and success.”
