Messi trains with Inter Miami

Miami – AFP – Veteran Argentine star Lionel Messi returned to his team Inter Miami’s training sessions on Wednesday, ten days after his national team’s loss to Spain in the 2026 World Cup final.

Messi was seen entering the training ground alongside his Inter Miami teammate, Uruguayan Luis Suarez, in a video clip posted by the club on social media.

Since the 1-0 defeat to Spain in the final held on July 19 in New Jersey, Messi has spent time with his family in his hometown of Rosario.

No date has been announced yet for Messi’s return to official matches. Inter Miami is set to face Columbus Crew on Saturday in the domestic league, before beginning their campaign in the Leagues Cup, the joint competition between American and Mexican league clubs, on Wednesday next week, against San Luis.
