Kuweit commends Pakistan's role in supporting regional security and stability

Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for the active diplomatic role played by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in supporting the security and stability of the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that this came during the meeting between the Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber, and the Prime Minister of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, on Wednesday, on the occasion of the latter’s official visit to the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.

The meeting reviewed the solid historical bilateral relations linking the two countries and their friendly peoples, and discussed ways to elevate these ties and enhance prospects for joint cooperation in various fields to serve the common interests of both nations.

The latest regional developments and efforts aimed at strengthening security and stability in the region were also discussed.

In addition, the Foreign Minister met with Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Commander of the Armed Forces of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The meeting reviewed the solid historical relations between the two countries and their friendly peoples, and emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation frameworks and intensifying coordination and consultation in various fields, particularly in defense and security, to broaden bilateral relations and serve the common interests of the two friendly countries.

The latest regional developments and efforts aimed at de-escalation and enhancing security and stability in the region were also discussed, with Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber expressing Kuwait’s appreciation for the active diplomatic role played by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in this regard.

In a third meeting, the Foreign Minister met with Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The meeting reviewed the close historical relations linking the two countries and their friendly peoples.

Both sides, according to a Foreign Ministry statement, reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing Kuwaiti-Pakistani cooperation in all fields and intensifying coordination and consultation across various levels, to elevate bilateral relations to more advanced levels and serve the common interests of the two friendly countries.

The latest regional developments and efforts aimed at de-escalation in the region were also discussed during the meeting.
