One Million Dollars: A Contribution from Al-Tijariya Al-Aqariya

Al-Tijariya Al-Aqariya announced its contribution of $1 million to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the national initiative launched by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, which enhances Kuwait’s readiness and preserves the sustainability of critical infrastructure and services, thereby contributing to the stability of the state and the continuity of its essential services.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the company emphasized that this initiative stems from the belief that serving the nation is a shared responsibility requiring collective efforts to achieve a more stable and prosperous future. At this critical juncture, amid current changes and crises, it is imperative to unify national efforts and strengthen integration between state institutions and the private sector, supporting the state’s strategic priorities and enhancing its readiness to handle various exceptional circumstances.

AbdulFatah Ma’arfi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Tijariya Al-Aqariya, stated: “Throughout its history, Al-Tijariya Al-Aqariya has been closely linked to the development trajectory of the State of Kuwait, contributing to projects that have shaped the country’s urban and economic landscape. Building on this legacy, we believe our role extends beyond real estate development and asset management to include participation in national initiatives that enhance state stability, reinforce resilience, and contribute to infrastructure sustainability, as these are fundamental pillars for continued development and the prosperity of the national economy.”

He added: “The Kuwait Emergency Response Fund represents a national model that reflects the importance of integrating roles between state institutions and the private sector. Al-Tijariya Al-Aqariya takes pride in contributing to this initiative, firmly believing that supporting infrastructure efficiency and enhancing the state’s readiness constitutes an investment in Kuwait’s future and the sustainability of its prosperity.”

Ma’arfi clarified that the real estate development and asset management sector is one of the foundational pillars of the national economy, playing a pivotal role in city development, enhancing the investment environment, improving facility efficiency, and supporting the sustainability of urban infrastructure. This underscores the responsibility of private sector institutions to contribute to initiatives that serve the state’s strategic interests and help consolidate the foundations of sustainable development.

Ma’arfi concluded his remarks by praying to God Almighty for peace, security, and stability to prevail in Kuwait, all Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the region, and for Kuwait and its people to be protected from all harm, under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah; and His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
