Private sector contributions in support of the “Kuwait Emergency Response Fund,” launched by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development on the 5th, continue. The fund aims to bolster national preparedness and enhance the state’s capacity to respond swiftly to various challenges and exceptional circumstances. Today, Wednesday, the Kuwait Fund announced in three separate statements that contributions from Warba Bank, Mohammed Saleh and Rida Yousif Al-Bahbahani Company, and the Joint Contracting Group exemplify the role of the private sector and national financial institutions in supporting strategic initiatives and strengthening the state’s readiness to handle various emergency situations.

In this regard, the Kuwait Fund reported that Warba Bank has contributed $3 million to the “Emergency Response Fund,” noting that the contribution reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting national efforts and enhancing partnerships with government entities to serve the public interest and raise preparedness levels to face various challenges.

The Fund emphasized that the bank’s contribution highlights the vital and responsible role of the Kuwaiti banking sector in supporting government bodies, providing the necessary resources for rapid crisis response, and reinforcing values of solidarity and social cohesion.

The Fund also announced a $1 million contribution from Mohammed Saleh and Rida Yousif Al-Bahbahani Company to the “Emergency Response Fund,” stating that this initiative stems from the company’s commitment to continuously participating in national initiatives that serve society, support government efforts, enhance the readiness of relevant authorities, and ensure the continuity of essential services. This reflects the values of solidarity and cooperation that characterize Kuwaiti society.

The Fund affirmed that the contribution embodies the company’s belief in the importance of integrating private sector efforts with state institutions and strengthening the concept of corporate social responsibility as a fundamental element in supporting sustainable development. This contributes to raising national preparedness and enhancing the state’s ability to deal with new developments efficiently and effectively.

The Fund also announced the first contribution from the contracting sector, provided by the Joint Contracting Group valued at $1 million for the “Emergency Response Fund.” It noted that this initiative stems from the “Joint Contracting Group’s” corporate social responsibility and its belief in the importance of supporting national initiatives that contribute to serving the country and enhancing its capacity to face various challenges.

It is worth noting that the “Emergency Response Fund” was established by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development. Following approval by the Council of Ministers, the Kuwait Fund was tasked with managing and fully supervising its operations to enhance institutional resilience and improve the efficiency of the national response system, enabling relevant authorities to handle emergency conditions efficiently and effectively.

Kuwait Parks Company announced a financial contribution of $250,000 in support of the “Kuwait Emergency Response Fund,” reaffirming its commitment to national responsibility and its keenness to contribute to initiatives that enhance the country’s ability to face exceptional circumstances and reinforce values of cooperation and solidarity between state institutions and the private sector.

In a statement issued today, Wednesday, the company clarified that this contribution aligns with its approach to supporting initiatives with national impact and its belief in the importance of concerted efforts among various entities to serve the public interest. This contributes to supporting the continuity of essential services and enhancing state stability. Kuwait Parks Company believes that national responsibility is an integral part of its corporate mission and that the private sector plays a pivotal role in supporting initiatives that enhance the state’s capacity to face challenges.

She added that its contribution to the “Emergency Response Fund” is an extension of its commitment to active participation in all initiatives that serve Kuwait, reflecting its belief in the importance of integrating national efforts to safeguard the country’s security and stability and support its developmental trajectory. Joint national initiatives represent a practical model of cooperation among various sectors, contributing to enhancing institutional readiness and consolidating a culture of social responsibility, in line with Kuwait’s aspirations for a more sustainable and resilient future.

She affirmed that Al-Mutanabbi Parks will continue to support initiatives that benefit society and strengthen partnerships with various national entities, driven by its commitment to contributing to sustainable development and reinforcing the values of giving and collaborative effort.
