The Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation... A Training College for Qualifying Air Traffic Controllers
The Authority stated in a press release on Wednesday that this step reflects its commitment to implementing the highest global standards and enhancing the efficiency of national cadres, in line with the country’s aspirations in the field of aviation safety.
It clarified that this approval comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to develop the specialized training system and elevate the level of air navigation services, in accordance with best practices and internationally recognized standards in the civil aviation sector.
For his part, Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam, Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), affirmed that the renewal of this accreditation embodies the confidence placed in the education and training system at PAAET, and reflects the advanced level achieved by the Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation in preparing national cadres in accordance with recognized international standards.
Al-Fajam added that the accreditation is granted in accordance with the regulations and requirements applicable to civil aviation safety in the State of Kuwait, and serves as a reaffirmation of the Authority’s commitment to applying the highest international standards in the preparation and qualification of air traffic controllers through specialized academic and training programs.
He explained that these programs strive to keep pace with the latest developments in the civil aviation sector, contributing to the preparation of qualified national cadres in line with global best practices. He noted that the Authority is working to develop its academic and training programs and align their outcomes with the needs of vital sectors, foremost among them the civil aviation sector.
For her part, Eng. Mahnaz Qabazard, Director of the Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation, stated that this renewal is the culmination of continuous efforts made by the institute’s team and its full commitment to implementing the requirements of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), thereby ensuring the maintenance of training program quality and keeping pace with the latest developments in air traffic control.
Qabazard added that this accreditation marks the beginning of a new phase of development, through expanding the offering of specialized programs and disciplines, creating advanced training opportunities, and strengthening partnerships with national, regional, and international entities. These efforts aim to prepare qualified national cadres capable of meeting the needs of the civil aviation sector and keeping pace with global developments in this field.
