“Ministry of Electricity and Water”: Conservation is a shared responsibility that contributes to resource sustainability

In line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility and its support for national initiatives aimed at strengthening the culture of sustainability and conserving resources, Kuwait Airways organized an awareness seminar titled “Rationalizing Electricity and Water Consumption,” in collaboration with the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy.

The seminar featured an awareness presentation by specialists from the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, covering key daily behaviors that contribute to rationalizing electricity and water consumption, the importance of optimal resource utilization, and the role of individuals in supporting sustainability. It also highlighted best practices that can be implemented in workplaces and homes to enhance consumption efficiency.

The “Wafar” campaign team outlined the objectives of the national campaign and the Ministry’s efforts to raise public awareness about the importance of conservation through the implementation of awareness programs and initiatives, as well as by building partnerships with various government entities and institutions in both the public and private sectors. These efforts aim to reinforce a culture of responsible consumption and support the sustainability of national resources.

During the lecture, the team emphasized that rationalizing electricity and water consumption is a shared responsibility, and that adhering to prudent behaviors helps preserve resources, supports the stability of the electrical and water systems, and ensures optimal use of energy and water.

Al-Shatti added that Kuwait Airways believes its role extends beyond providing air transport services to encompass its corporate social responsibility and participation in national initiatives that enhance awareness and instill positive behaviors among its employees and affiliates, in alignment with the State of Kuwait’s direction toward sustainability and efficient resource use.

Al-Shatti expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy for their cooperation in organizing this event, reaffirming Kuwait Airways’ continued support for national programs and initiatives that promote corporate social responsibility and contribute to spreading a culture of sustainability, thereby serving the public interest and keeping pace with the State of Kuwait’s vision to preserve its natural resources.
