Juventus finalize deal for Kolo Muani

Italian football club Juventus has finalized the transfer of French striker Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, the champions of Europe and France, after months of protracted negotiations.

Kolo Muani previously represented “The Old Lady” on loan between January and July 2025, scoring 10 goals in 22 matches, a performance that prompted the Italian club to pursue his return with determination.

According to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus’s new CEO, Giovanni Carnivale, reached an agreement with PSG for the player’s loan transfer, with an obligation to buy if the team qualifies for one of the European competitions. The total value of the deal, including bonuses, will exceed 40 million euros.

Kolo Muani is expected to arrive in Turin on Thursday for a medical examination before immediately joining the team’s preparations for the new season and traveling with the Juventus delegation on their pre-season tour to China and Australia, scheduled for early August.

Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti views Kolo Muani as the ideal striker for his system, citing his physical strength, ability to play direct football, capacity to retain possession under pressure, and contribution to advancing the team forward.

The Italian coach also considers him a miniature version of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, thanks to his attacking movements, ability to engage with defenders, and involvement in defensive work and ball recovery.

His statistics during his previous stint in the Italian league demonstrated significant offensive efficiency, as he scored 8 goals from just 14 shots on target and required a total of 26 shots to score, a remarkable scoring rate compared to the strikers currently at Juventus.

The report confirmed that Kolo Muani’s desire was the decisive factor in concluding the negotiations, after he informed all parties that returning to Juventus was his only choice, which facilitated reaching the final agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.
