US Central Command: We carried out attacks with Saudi forces targeting Iran-aligned terrorists in eastern Iraq

The U.S. Central Command announced that it carried out precise strikes with the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces in Iraq on Wednesday, “targeting Iran-aligned terrorists whom the Iranian Revolutionary Guard had directed to attack U.S. forces and energy infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

In a statement, it added: “U.S. and Saudi fighter aircraft conducted raids on multiple logistical and weapons sites belonging to the terrorists across eastern Iraq, in a strong response to more than 30 drone attacks launched by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard over the past 72 hours.”

It noted that “those unjustified attacks targeting U.S. forces were unsuccessful,” and that “between February and April 2026, more than 600 attack attempts targeting U.S. citizens and facilities were carried out by Iran-aligned terrorist militias in Iraq.”

U.S. Central Command emphasized that “the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and its terrorist proxies must halt these attacks to avoid further U.S. military retaliation.”
