25,978 direct violations recorded over 8 days

Security and traffic campaigns carried out by the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector, represented by the General Directorate of Traffic and the General Directorate of Emergency Police, across various governorates of the country, resulted in the issuance of 25,978 direct violations over eight days.

During the period from July 19 to July 25, the campaigns conducted by the General Directorate of Emergency Police led to the execution of 2,188 security operations, the apprehension of 105 wanted individuals, 13 wanted vehicles, 52 individuals violating residency regulations, 11 persons without official identification, and 8 individuals in abnormal conditions. Additionally, six suspects were apprehended and referred to the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics for necessary legal action, while 1,015 humanitarian assistance cases were provided to citizens and residents.

In the same context, efforts by officers of the General Directorate of Traffic from July 20 to July 26 resulted in the issuance of 24,979 traffic violations, the detention of 18 individuals at the traffic police station, and the referral of eight minors to the Public Prosecution to complete legal procedures against them. Furthermore, 223 vehicles and nine motorcycles were impounded in the impound lot, 2,673 traffic reports were handled, 933 collision accidents were addressed, and 170 other accidents resulting in injuries were managed.

On the security front, two suspects suspected of possessing narcotics and five individuals in abnormal conditions were apprehended and referred to the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics. Additionally, 52 individuals whose residency permits had expired and one person lacking official identification were apprehended. Forty-two wanted individuals and 11 wanted vehicles were also seized, and all apprehended persons and vehicles were referred to the relevant authorities to take necessary legal action.
