Al-Habashi hopes to establish a branch of the Arab Open University in Al-Jahra

Al-Jahra Governor Hamad Al-Habshi held talks with Dr. Salah Al-Hamadi, President of the Arab Open University, and the accompanying delegation, on areas of cooperation in the educational field and to review the university’s experience and academic programs.
Al-Jahra Governorate stated in a statement on Tuesday that this came during Al-Habshi’s reception of Dr. Al-Hamadi at the Governorate’s General Diwan. Al-Habshi welcomed him and the delegation, expressing his appreciation for the visit and praising the role played by the Arab Open University in supporting the progress of higher education through its diverse academic programs that meet students’ needs and align with labor market requirements.
Al-Habshi emphasized that Al-Jahra Governorate is experiencing rapid population growth and urban expansion, which necessitates an expansion of educational services. He expressed his hope that the governorate would be included in the university’s future plans, through studying the feasibility of establishing a branch of the university in Al-Jahra, thereby contributing to bringing educational services closer to the residents of the governorate and facilitating their enrollment in suitable university programs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Governor expressed his best wishes for the continued success and prosperity of the Arab Open University, reaffirming the importance of maintaining cooperation with academic institutions to support educational development and serve the people of the governorate.
