“Introducing Islam”: 649 Converts in the Second Quarter of This Year

The Da’wah and Islamic Awareness Committee, affiliated with the Al-Najah Charity Society, announced significant achievements in the field of da’wah and the education of new Muslim converts during the second quarter of 2026, continuing its mission to promote Islam and support new Muslims both within and outside Kuwait.

Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Jarallah Al-Kharafi, Chairman of the Committee’s Board of Trustees, stated that the Committee recorded 649 conversions to Islam during the second quarter, with 583 cases occurring within Kuwait among non-Arab expatriate communities and 66 cases outside Kuwait. He emphasized that this achievement was realized by the grace of God, followed by the efforts of 63 da’i and da’iyah (male and female preachers) from various nationalities and linguistic backgrounds, and thanks to the support of philanthropists who contributed to sponsoring preachers from different countries.

He added that the Committee continued its focus on educating new converts, organizing 70 introductory courses, 60 Sharia-based courses, and 83 Quranic courses, in addition to 10 Arabic language courses for new converts, Muslim communities, and some non-Muslims.

Al-Kharafi noted that the Committee continued to expand its presence in electronic da’wah, conducting 5,310 online dialogues with Islam seekers from around the world. He pointed out that the Committee’s Quran Radio stations recorded 24 million listening minutes across more than 200 countries and regions, while the Electronic Islamic Library received approximately 600,000 visits during the same period.

Al-Kharafi concluded by expressing gratitude to all supporters and donors who contributed to the Committee’s da’wah, educational, and community projects, calling on philanthropists to continue their generosity so that da’wah may persist and the light of guidance reaches more non-Arabic speakers.
