Tangier Union demands oust Saoud from Al-Qadsia
Al-Qadsia Football Club is playing its first friendly match during its training camp in Yalova, Turkey, when it faces Al-Zulfi, a team competing in the Saudi First Division, at 6:00 PM tomorrow, Wednesday.
On another note, Moroccan winger Ayoub El-Kaabi has become the fourth foreign player on Al-Qadsia’s roster for the new season, following the club’s announcement of his signing last night.
The 29-year-old El-Kaabi previously played in Kuwait with Al-Yarmouk last season, and had professional trials with Al-Jandal and Al-Bukayriyah in the Saudi Pro League. Prior to that, he played in his home country for FUS Rabat and Hassania Agadir.
The announcement of El-Kaabi’s signing has raised questions about the necessity of signing three wingers, given the presence of Omani Abdulrahman Al-Mashfari and Nigerian Gabriel Orok.
Meanwhile, with the signing of Moroccan striker Hamza Khabba, formerly of Al-Arabi, it is expected that he will be the fifth and final foreign signing for the “Yellow” team, either as a defender or a defensive midfielder, depending on the preference of head coach Mohamed Ibrahim.
Al-Qadsia’s management had contacted its counterpart at Moroccan club Raja Casablanca to sign defender Mohamed Saad for the new season for a fee of $250,000, with the amount rising to $300,000 in case of contract renewal for another season.
Al-Rai learned that Raja Casablanca has not yet agreed to Al-Qadsia’s offer, considering it significantly lower than the $300,000 fee demanded by the Moroccan club alone, excluding the player’s share.
Young striker Mughdad Safar, who joined from Al-Arabi, has reported to the training camp after concluding his commitments in Kuwait and has begun training with his teammates. The same applies to new arrival Khaled Al-Kharqaawi, who recently joined the “Yellow” team after his name was removed from Al-Kuwait’s roster.
Al-Kharqaawi previously played for the Kuwait Olympic national team and was selected for the preliminary squad of the senior national team (“The Blue”) ahead of Gulf Cup 26, but he did not feature prominently for Al-Arabi’s first team.
Also in Turkey, Al-Arabi defeated the second team of Turkish club Amidspor 4-0 in their third friendly match during the training camp today.
The “Green” team had drawn 1-1 with Turkish club Vanspor yesterday in their second friendly match of the camp, with Qanbar scoring for Al-Arabi.
The team’s Serbian coach, Goran Sablić, started the match with a lineup featuring goalkeeper Suleiman Abdulghafour, Abdullah Ammar, Jumaa Aboud, Mohammed Khaled, Khaled Al-Murshed, Badr Tariq, Senegalese player Jowhar Khadem, Bandar Al-Salama, Youssef Majed, Nigerian player Ayanu Iyowa, and Brazilian player Lucas Chaloun, before making several substitutions in the second half.
