Stones agrees to join Inter Milan

Inter Milan, the Italian football league champions, have reached an agreement with England international defender John Stones to sign him during the ongoing summer transfer window on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract with English club Manchester City.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) confirmed that Stones is in advanced talks with Inter Milan, after holding positive sessions with the player’s agent.

The 32-year-old Stones had attracted interest from English club Chelsea and Italian club Juventus, but he chose to move to Italy’s champions. The report clarified that Inter Milan offered Stones a two-year contract, reflecting the club’s desire to bolster its defensive line with the experience of the England international.
