Al-Sahel to Maintain the Top Spot, while Al-Yarmouk and Sulaybiyah Compensate

Al-Sahel aim to maintain their top position when they face Khaitan at Abdullah Al-Khalifa Stadium in the 15th round of the First Division “Zain League” football tournament, which also features three other matches all kicking off at 8:45 PM tomorrow, Wednesday.

Al-Sahel seized the top spot with 32 points after a thrilling victory over their former co-leaders, Al-Yarmouk, thanks to a decisive goal in the previous round.

For his part, Khaitan (17 points) enter the match in an uncomfortable position, as their new Turkish coach, Cenk Ozkan, began his tenure with a surprising 0-1 defeat to Al-Shamya.

Al-Yarmouk, in their encounter with league-bottom side Sporty (just 3 points) at Nasser Al-Asimi Stadium, seek to make up for their recent stumble, but they will face a revitalized opponent after securing their first win of the competition in the previous round against Burqan.

Salibikhaat, now just three points off the leaders, aim to keep up the pressure when they face seventh-placed Al-Shamya (10 points) at the auxiliary pitch of Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium.

Al-Jazira (25 points), who have not given up hope of competing for one of the two promotion spots to the Premier League next season, face Burqan (14 points) at Al-Sahel’s ground, aiming to close the gap with the top three.
