Ministry of Education and National Authority for Combating Corruption: Teacher as a Pillar in Building Human and Society

In a joint statement, the Ministry and the Authority clarified that the Code was prepared by the National Center for Combating Corruption (Nazaha) in consultation with civil society, in line with its mandate to promote a culture of integrity and prevent corruption, and to implement the memorandum of understanding signed with the Ministry of Education in the areas of awareness and education.

The statement noted that the Code was issued in recognition of the pivotal role teachers play in shaping generations, and with the aim of providing a comprehensive professional and ethical framework that entrenches the principles of honesty, integrity, justice, and transparency, regulates rights and duties, and strengthens trust among teachers, students, and parents, as well as among all parties involved in the educational process.

According to the statement, both sides affirmed that the Teachers’ Code of Conduct is not merely a regulatory document, but rather an ethical and professional reference that enhances the teacher’s mission, reinforces the culture of positive role modeling, contributes to building a school environment supportive of national values, and consolidates the principles of integrity and commitment in daily practices within educational institutions. They added that the Code extends the Authority’s efforts in preparing professional guides and charters that support integrity, and aligns with the Ministry of Education’s direction toward strengthening governance, institutional commitment, and elevating professional practices, thereby serving the objectives of developing the educational system and enhancing performance efficiency in the educational field.
