3,141 traffic violations in 24 hours

During the traffic enforcement operations, 10 wanted expatriates with outstanding arrest warrants and expired residency permits were apprehended and handed over to the relevant security authorities. Three individuals were provisionally detained at the Traffic Directorate for 48 hours, and 26 vehicles were impounded for 60 days due to their owners’ commission of serious violations.
According to statistics obtained by Al-Rai, truck-related violations topped the list with 286 infractions, followed by 125 cases of using a mobile phone while driving, 60 instances of window tinting, 59 radar-related violations, 15 cases of reckless speeding, and 12 violations involving the emission of disturbing noises. Additionally, 2,340 miscellaneous violations were recorded.
At hospitals, 195 violations for illegal parking and obstructing traffic flow were issued, and five vehicles were impounded for deliberately blocking traffic, with a decision made to hold them for 60 days. Al-Jahra Hospital recorded the highest number of violations, followed by Al-Adan Hospital, and then Jabir Hospital.
