Al-Tabtabaee and the... "Code of Conduct"!
Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaee has adopted the “Teachers’ Code of Conduct” as the ethical and professional reference governing educational practice. Among the core professional values are integrity, transparency, justice, and respect. I have singled out these two values—integrity and transparency—due to their significance, although I consider them to be principles that are not merely displayed on walls or printed in booklets, but rather deeply embedded in the conscience and the environment from which individuals acquire their values and ethics.
I recall that numerous studies have underscored the importance of these values. During my doctoral studies, I frequently encountered many individuals who emphasized respect and transparency, and most consulting and research firms are moving in this direction.
Integrity and transparency eradicate corruption and help enhance transparency in the workplace, while justice and respect simplify equal opportunities and equality. Thank you, Abu Al-Latif (I recall that some time ago, my friend and I presented two cases to the Minister).
- The Civil Service Bureau should review its recruitment mechanisms, especially given that there are cases of individuals waiting for jobs for more than three years. It would be highly beneficial if the Bureau shared with us the latest statistics, including the number of candidates, their specializations, and the unemployment rate.
- The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor should expedite the implementation of the e-commerce platform for associations, so that goods become available at reduced prices and consumers can purchase what they wish online, with delivery provided as a service by the local association.
There are many projects we await to be implemented on the ground, including full digital transformation. This transformation is straightforward to execute, ensuring that all services are accessible through the “Sahel” app, rather than through separate platforms for specific entities, particularly the Ministry of Health.
Our ambition is to implement projects within a short timeframe—ideally within one year—so that citizens and residents can see tangible achievements on the ground.
We also need a fair and transparent evaluation of the projects that have been signed and are currently being arranged, addressing the following:
Whether it is possible to conduct a study that determines the citizen’s standard of living and links it to the monthly salary, which has not seen any increase for a long time, despite ongoing inflation with known rates.
The issues we have raised have already been extensively studied, analyzed, and commented on by everyone, both specialists and non-specialists. We hope to adopt research, studies, and surveys as a means to achieve living prosperity, realize development, and ensure satisfaction with public services. God is the source of all help.
