“Al-Mubarak Al-Mumayazin Women’s Association”: An Educational System That Creates Impact and Meets Women’s Needs at All Stages
Dr. Daria Al-Masoud, Director of the Women’s Affairs Department at Al-Mumtazin Foundation, confirmed that the department’s presence in recent years has not been limited to organizing seasonal programs or activities. Rather, it has been built on a comprehensive educational system under the noble umbrella of the Quran, addressing women’s educational needs across all life stages, starting from childhood. This is achieved through specialized Quranic projects that progressively lead to mastery of the Holy Quran and specialization in its sciences.
She explained that this approach aligns with Al-Mumtazin Foundation’s vision, which prioritizes impact creation. This is driven by the conviction that the value of initiatives is not measured by their quantity, but by their ability to bring about real and sustainable change in beneficiaries’ lives, and by fostering role models imbued with knowledge and values, whose positive effects extend to families and society.
From this perspective, the Women’s Affairs Department designed its programs to address the needs of every demographic segment, united by a common thread: strengthening the bond with the Book of Allah, instilling values, developing personality, and preparing a generation equipped with knowledge, awareness, and a sense of responsibility.
In this context, Dr. Al-Masoud noted that the journey began with the “Creative Child Academy” project, representing the first milestone in this educational path. It combines Quranic memorization and recitation, instilling Islamic values, and laying the foundation for children’s mastery of Arabic language principles—the language of the Quran—while nurturing their personal and creative skills in an educational environment tailored to their developmental needs, fostering balanced personalities from their earliest years.
As girls transition to university or professional life, the Women’s Affairs Department at the Foundation ensured a different learning space through the “Rattil” project. This initiative offers distance learning, providing a Quranic environment suitable for university students and working women, helping them continue their journey of memorization, reflection, and Quranic sciences study in a manner compatible with their daily commitments, thereby integrating their connection with the Book of Allah into their lifestyle.
Complementing the Rattil project is another initiative, similar in concept but distinct in organization and administration: the “Dayma” project, designed for elderly women. Learning takes place in person, helping them achieve greater proficiency in Quranic recitation and memorization. This enhances Islamic values, raises religious and intellectual awareness, develops social skills, improves the proficiency of memorizers, and prepares them for certification (Ijazah).
Continuing this progression and achievement, the “Khatma” project was launched to open opportunities for those seeking to obtain Sanad (chain of transmission) and Ijazah in the Quran. Through a specialized scientific program, it aims to prepare highly proficient female memorizers who carry forward this great legacy, generation after generation.
On the ground, the “Raihan” project continues its presence through Quranic circles distributed across various governorates of Kuwait. These circles welcome female students from primary, intermediate, and secondary stages, ensuring that programs reach the widest possible audience and bringing Quranic education closer to families in different regions.
The Women’s Affairs Department also kept pace with national Quranic occasions by organizing review sessions for participants in the Kuwait Grand Quran Memorization Competition throughout the year. This aims to enhance proficiency levels, reflecting the department’s commitment to preparing participants in a scientific and methodical manner.
Modern technologies have not been absent from this system. The electronic circles prepared by the Women’s Affairs Department have expanded the reach of beneficiaries, offering those in Kuwait and abroad who wish to memorize the Quran and learn recitation rules the opportunity to join programs remotely. This experience has enhanced learning flexibility and extended the Foundation’s message to a broader audience.
These projects and achievements have been accompanied by educational, cultural, and recreational programs that contribute to the personal development of beneficiaries, enhance their skills, and instill values of initiative, teamwork, and belonging, thereby achieving a balance between academic and educational development.
Today, the Women’s Administration continues to fulfill its mission as a vital pillar in the distinguished trajectory of the Mutamayizin Foundation, and as one of the active departments in realizing its social and national mission. This is achieved through investing in human capital, nurturing excellence, and creating a lasting impact that extends to individuals, families, and society at large. This approach is rooted in the conviction that building conscious individuals who remain steadfast in their values is the foundation upon which societies are built and nations rise.
