Kuwait and China: Second Partnership Project Enters into Force

Kuwaiti-Chinese cooperation has entered a new implementation phase with the signing of a contract for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Kubdah North wastewater treatment and purification plant. This marks the second executive agreement to move into application under the projects stemming from the memoranda of understanding between the two countries, following the Port of Mubarak Al-Kabir project.

This project extends Kuwait’s desire to implement strategic initiatives that enhance the quality of infrastructure, bolster environmental sustainability, and improve the efficiency of the wastewater treatment system, in line with urban growth and in support of achieving sustainable development goals and Kuwait’s future vision.
