His Highness the Amir receives a call from the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received a telephone call this evening from the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the friendly Andy Burnham, who congratulated His Highness on being appointed by His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to form a government and serve as Prime Minister.

During the call, the historic ties between the two countries and their friendly peoples were reviewed, along with a number of issues of mutual interest and the latest developments on the regional and international scenes, particularly concerning the current circumstances facing the region and exchanging views on them. Mr. Burnham simultaneously reaffirmed his country’s solidarity with the State of Kuwait and its friendly people, and its support for all measures that safeguard Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability.
