Kuwait and China sign contract for Al-Kabad North Water Desalination Plant to enhance infrastructure and sustainability

Under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Kuwait hosted on Sunday the signing ceremony for the contract to build, operate, and maintain the North Kabd Water Reclamation Plant and its associated works, marking the second cooperation agreement with the friendly People’s Republic of China.

This project extends Kuwait’s commitment to implementing strategic initiatives that enhance the quality of infrastructure, promote environmental sustainability, and improve the efficiency of the wastewater treatment system, in line with urban growth and in support of achieving sustainable development goals and Kuwait’s future vision.

Attending the ceremony were the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousif; the Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali; the Acting Head of the Prime Minister’s Diwan, Sheikh Khaled Al-Khaled; and the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works, Eid Al-Rashidi.
