Electricity Authority: Commencement of fiber optic cable extension works between existing main substations

- Excavation and backfilling works to begin tomorrow until August 1

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced the commencement of fiber optic cable extension works between existing main substations, as part of a developmental project aligned with Kuwait’s national development plan. The project aims to enhance infrastructure and improve the efficiency of the communications and control systems.

The ministry clarified that the implementation of the project will involve excavation and backfilling activities from July 26, 2026, to August 1, 2026, at locations published via its official account on the X platform.

The ministry emphasized that these works will not disrupt the continuity of electricity services.
