Kuwait Investment Holding Company announced the completion of its acquisition of Al Masaleh for Investment, a move it described as a strategic milestone within its plans to expand and diversify its investment portfolio and strengthen the role of the private sector in supporting the national economy.

Talaal Al-Ajmi, Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Investment Holding, stated during a press conference attended by various media outlets that the acquisition of Al Masaleh for Investment aligns with a strategic vision aimed at diversifying the investment portfolio and expanding into operational sectors. He emphasized that the deal marks the beginning of a new phase in the company’s journey.

Al-Ajmi explained that the company acquired Al Masaleh for Investment to serve as the financial arm of Kuwait Investment Holding, noting that the company possesses significant market experience spanning 16 years, along with extensive expertise in dealing with clients and regulatory bodies. He added that the acquisition reinforces this direction.

He further noted that the Kuwaiti private sector is a key partner in achieving the goals of the “New Kuwait 2035” vision through diversifying income sources and enhancing economic development. Al-Ajmi pointed out that the current climate is favorable for seizing investment opportunities, especially since the deal took approximately two years to finalize.

For his part, Mohammed Al-Jou’an, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Al Masaleh for Investment, said the acquisition represents an important milestone in the history of both companies, which possess cumulative market experience spanning decades. He emphasized that current economic and financial indicators reflect significant progress in the investment environment, thanks to the role played by regulatory authorities in regulating the market and enhancing transparency.

Al-Jou’an clarified that following the completion of the deal, the company looks forward to a new stage of growth by leveraging available investment opportunities and offering innovative business models, moving beyond traditional stock investments. He also commended the efforts of the Central Bank of Kuwait and the Capital Markets Authority in finalizing the acquisition procedures.

On his part, Muneed Youssef, Director of Media and Public Relations at Kuwait Investment Holding, stressed that the true value of any acquisition is measured by the results it delivers after completion, rather than its financial size. He noted that continued construction and investment represent the best response to the challenges facing Kuwait and the region.

Youssef stated that the company views the deal as the start of a new phase of growth and development, enhancing its presence in the private sector and aligning with Kuwait’s 2035 vision. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to playing its role in supporting the national economy through sustainable investment and adding real value to the market.

Youssef highlighted that Kuwait Investment Holding’s portfolio includes several successful investment ventures, such as Kantine Kuwait, a retail trading company, and the Twenty Grams specialty coffee chain, which has expanded to more than 11 locations within Kuwait and spread to several regional markets, including Qatar and Egypt.

For his part, Othman Al-Awadi, General Manager of Kuwait Investment Holding, confirmed that the acquisition marks a new launch for the company according to a vision aimed at supporting the investment environment. He indicated that the next phase will focus on attracting high-quality opportunities and building new partnerships based on trust and corporate culture.
