Fawziya joins Colo-Colo

Santiago - AFP - Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, one of the stars of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, will join Chilean club Colo-Colo, arriving from Portuguese second-division side Chaves.
Club president Anibal Mosa expressed his delight, saying, “Vozinha will become a Colo-Colo player and will come to Chile in the coming days to undergo the usual medical tests before being presented here at the Monumental Stadium.”
Vozinha was one of the standout performers of the World Cup, delivering heroic displays despite being 40 years old, particularly in the group stage match against Spain (0-0), who went on to win the title at Argentina’s expense.
Vozinha, whose real name is Josemar Jose Evora Diaz, led the remarkable Cape Verde national team to the Round of 32, where he forced the 2022 champions Argentina into extra time before securing a 3-2 victory.
