Youth Basketball loses to Oman in Gulf Championship opener

Kuwait’s national team lost to Oman 59-62 on Saturday in the opening match of the Gulf Youth Basketball Championship, hosted in Doha, Qatar, at the Al-Gharafa Club arena until July 30. The tournament serves as a qualifier for the Asian Cup finals in India.

The “Blue Youth” team will play its second match against Bahrain at 4:00 PM on Sunday, hoping to bounce back and secure its first victory. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia and Qatar will face each other at 6:00 PM.

The championship is being held in a single-round-robin format, with the top two teams qualifying for the Asian Cup in Hyderabad.
