Al-Zamil forms a committee to allocate electric vehicles

The decision specified the committee’s competencies, assigning it the tasks outlined in the Ministry of Finance Circular No. 1/1994. Accordingly, the committee’s operational framework regarding its meetings, decisions, and recommendations shall be governed by the provisions of this circular, with the committee chairman authorized to finally approve such decisions and recommendations.

On another note, the Central Tenders Board approved the ministry’s recommendation regarding the tender for major maintenance works for the building housing the Ministries of Electricity and Water, Renewable Energy, and Public Works.

In a related development, the board of directors of the Central Tenders Board approved the publication of the addendum for the tender to supply, install, and commission three main 132/11 kV substations for the cloud data centers project in various locations across Kuwait, including their power supply and ancillary equipment. The board urged the Ministry of Electricity to respond regarding the tender for the management and maintenance of the smart metering system (systems, software, and hardware) and its associated communication network at the main site and the customer services sector’s exchange.

Furthermore, the board urged the ministry to respond to inquiries raised in the minutes of the preliminary meeting concerning the tender to supply, install, operate, and maintain smart water meters, paving the way for setting a date for its issuance by the Central Tenders Board to competing companies.
