Capital Governor: Security Forces Are the First Line of Defense in Protecting the Nation

The Capital Governor, Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, affirmed the governorate’s commitment to supporting and appreciating all members of the security agencies, based on the belief in the significant national role they play in maintaining security and order, enhancing public safety, and consolidating the rule of law. He praised the dedicated field efforts provided by the General Security, Traffic, and Rescue personnel in the governorate, which have contributed to strengthening security and stability and serving citizens and residents around the clock.

This statement came during an appreciation ceremony held at the Governorate’s General Diwan on Thursday, which included a number of leaders and security personnel from various sectors within the Capital Governorate Security Directorate. The event was held to honor their outstanding contributions and continuous efforts in fulfilling their national duty, and to value their active role in the rapid response to reports, handling various security and traffic incidents, and ensuring the safety and security of community members.

The Governor stated that this appreciation ceremony crowns the tangible field work carried out by police, security, and traffic officers, as well as their competence, discipline, and dedication in performing their security and traffic missions. He emphasized that security personnel represent the first line of defense in protecting the country, and that their efforts are appreciated and a source of pride for everyone, given the sacrifices they make to safeguard the nation’s security and protect the community’s well-being.

He added that the fair and firm application of the law is one of the fundamental pillars upon which the country’s security system is built, stressing the importance of continuing to work with a sense of responsibility and enhancing cooperation among various security agencies. This cooperation contributes to providing the highest levels of security and safety, protecting lives and property, and ensuring smooth traffic movement in different areas of the governorate.

The Governor confirmed that security, traffic, and rescue personnel play a pivotal role in the immediate response to reports and incidents, organizing traffic flow, and supporting various security sectors. This reflects the high level of readiness and competence possessed by members of this vital agency, and underscores their status as one of the most important pillars of the country’s security system.

He stressed the importance of maintaining the highest levels of readiness and preparedness to deal with various circumstances and changes, ensuring rapid response and improving field performance efficiency.
