Ministry of Communications collaborates with E-Portal to launch more services via Sahel

This statement was made by Al-Amir in an interview with KUNA, upon signing today, Thursday, a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry and E-Portal Holding Company, a subsidiary of Kuwait Telecommunications Company (stc), to support the development and launch of additional digital government services through the unified government application for electronic services, “Sahl,” in line with the Cabinet’s directives aimed at accelerating the pace of digital transformation and enhancing the quality of government services.
He added that “Sahl” is witnessing continuous development in digital services and user experience, as the upcoming phase will see the launch of more services and digital journeys that simplify government procedures and enhance quality of life.
For his part, Eng. Mutaz Al-Darab, Chairman of the Board of Directors of E-Portal Holding Company, expressed his pride in signing the memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of State for Communications Affairs, emphasizing that this initiative stems from the company’s belief in its national responsibility and its commitment to contributing to supporting Kuwait’s digital transformation journey.
Al-Darab stated that the company will leverage its expertise and technical capabilities to support the development of more digital government services through the “Sahl” application, aligning with global best practices and contributing to simplifying government procedures and improving user experience.
He affirmed that collaboration between the public and private sectors is one of the key factors for the success of digital transformation projects, expressing the company’s hope that this partnership will contribute to supporting national digital projects and enhancing the efficiency of government services, thereby realizing the aspirations of the wise leadership and serving citizens and residents.
The signing ceremony concluded with a reaffirmation of the importance of continuing to build strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors to support the development of digital government services, improve institutional performance efficiency, and strengthen Kuwait’s position in the field of digital transformation.
