Closure of a shop selling cigarettes to minors

The Ministry stated in a press release that “the emergency teams of Al-Ahmadi and Al-Mubarakiya governorates, in coordination with the Juvenile Protection Department of the Ministry of Interior, managed to apprehend a commercial establishment caught selling cigarettes to consumers under the legal age of 21, in clear violation of applicable laws. The establishment was immediately shut down, and legal measures were taken against it.”

The Ministry further confirmed that all necessary legal actions have been taken against the violators, through coordination between the competent authorities in the Ministries of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Interior, as part of joint efforts to strengthen oversight and enforce the law.
