"Samari with Al-Amari" at the opening of "Cultural Summer"

The National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters will launch the events of the “Cultural Summer” festival with a heritage evening titled “Samari with Al-Amari,” to be held on August 5 at the Drama Theater stage of the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center.

The evening will be performed by artist Salman Al-Amari, in collaboration with Al-Mass Folk Arts Troupe, in a night celebrating Kuwaiti musical heritage and showcasing the aesthetics of the Samari art form and vocal songs that have formed an integral part of Kuwait’s artistic memory.

During the concert, Al-Amari will present a selection of his most famous heritage songs, in a performance that blends authenticity with innovation, drawing on his experience in reinterpreting Kuwaiti heritage in a manner that preserves its identity while aligning with contemporary artistic tastes.

This evening is part of the “Cultural Summer” festival program, which aims to enhance cultural and artistic activity and revive heritage arts through diverse events combining music, theater, and various art forms, thereby highlighting Kuwait’s cultural identity before diverse segments of the public.
