U.S. Department of Energy: Historic Nuclear Cooperation Agreement with Saudi Arabia

The U.S. Department of Energy announced that the United States and Saudi Arabia have reached a historic nuclear cooperation agreement. U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright signed the agreement, along with a separate safeguards agreement.

In a statement, the U.S. Department of Energy said, “These two agreements together establish the legal foundation for a partnership spanning decades and advancing several priority economic and strategic objectives, including nuclear nonproliferation.”
