Al-Qadisiya departs for Yalwa... requests to host Al-Tahadi

As Al-Qadsieh Club submitted a request to the Asian Football Confederation to host its group matches in the upcoming AFC Challenge League in October, the “Yellow” delegation departed at 10:30 AM tomorrow, Thursday, aboard Jazeera Airways, the main sponsor and official carrier, bound for the Turkish city of Yalova. The trip is for a training camp ahead of the new season, scheduled to last until August 18.

The delegation, led by board member Salman Al-Kandari, includes administrative, technical, and medical staff. The number of players departing remains pending approval for the postponement of their academic exams.

Head coach Mohammed Ibrahim is expected to join the delegation in Yalova after concluding his leave in the United Kingdom, alongside new professionals Moroccan Hamza Khaba and Nigerian Gabriel Orok.

The team is scheduled to play between four and five friendly matches during the camp.

It is confirmed that Abdullah Mutawa and Ahmed Al-Yahya will miss the camp, as they are currently in Doha, Qatar, for treatment and rehabilitation. They will rejoin training upon the team’s return to Kuwait.

The departing squad includes experienced players Badr Al-Mutawa, Khaled Mohammed Ibrahim, Talal Al-Fadl, and Hamid Al-Qallaf, as well as new signings Badr Jamal, Sultan Al-Faraj, and Omani Abdulrahman Al-Mashfari. The status of recently signed goalkeeper Saud Al-Qanaei remains unclear; although he has already signed with the club, his registration for the “Yellow” squad is pending due to an ongoing case at the Sports Arbitration Tribunal with his former club, Al-Shabab.

Meanwhile, the management of Al-Jazeera Club, which competes in the First Division, has finalized several transfers to bolster the squad for the remainder of last season’s competitions, starting next Saturday, as well as for the new season.

The club announced the signing of Talal Al-Ajmi, a former player of Al-Nasr, Kazma, and Al-Jahra, along with Ali Ford and Mohammed Al-Rabia, who joined from Al-Sahel. Additionally, the club renewed the contracts of captain and goalkeeper Badr Sa’noon, as well as Mubarak Saeed, Meshal Hamad, Fahad Al-Fadli, Mohammed Al-Fadli, and Abdulmajid Salim.

Regarding foreign players, Al-Jazeera announced the signing of Nigerian James Isaac, who joins from Al-Burqan, and French player Charlès Yao, who arrives from Turkish club Ayaspor.

Al-Jazeera achieved promising results in last season’s league and aims to secure a historic achievement by qualifying for the Premier League, either in the ongoing season—where they trail leaders Al-Yarmouk and Al-Sahel by five points with eight matches remaining—or in the new season.
