Al-Saiigh Honors Stars of the Under-20 Ora Football League

The league launched in 2025 in partnership with the Kuwait Football Association. The ceremony was attended by Aiman Al-Husseini, Deputy President of the Kuwait Football Association for Technical Affairs, and Hamad Al-Shaikh from the Al-Shaikh Group, alongside a number of association officials and prominent sports and media figures, at the Al-Shaikh Group headquarters in the Al-Shaikh Tower.

Commenting on the occasion, Al-Shaikh said, “Today, we celebrate local sporting achievements and honor athletes whose efforts and excellence contributed to an exceptional season filled with competition and success. This recognition reflects our firm commitment to supporting youth, enhancing the local sports landscape, and harnessing the power of sport to build more cohesive communities. Through the Ora League, we are proud to support young Kuwaiti athletes who embody the values of discipline, integrity, and dedication.”

This successful partnership extends the Al-Shaikh Group’s community engagement initiatives, including Starbucks’ sponsorship of the referees academy affiliated with the Kuwait Football Association, a move that reflects a shared vision to support youth development and advance sports in the region.

For his part, Al-Husseini praised the positive impact of the ongoing partnership between the association and the Al-Shaikh Group, as well as the Ora Awards program, following a season brimming with successes.

He stated, “The partnership has significantly contributed to raising the level of competition among teams and players. Furthermore, extensive media coverage, including televised matches and the recognition of the best player in each round, has generated unprecedented momentum in the competitions.”

He extended his sincere gratitude to the Al-Shaikh Group and the Ora Awards program for their distinguished sponsorship, which played a vital role in supporting and developing young athletes and achieving success.

Individual achievements from the 2025–2026 season were also honored. Abdullah Al-Qarazi received the Best Player award, Sulaiman Al-Masri was named Best Goalkeeper, while Bandar Al-Azmi won the league’s top scorer award.
