Following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Transfermarkt updated the market values of 99 players who shone in the tournament, with all updates reflecting increases only and no decreases.

- Norway’s Erling Haaland: His value rose to €220 million, making him (jointly with Spain’s Lamine Yamal) the most expensive player in the world, after scoring seven goals and providing one assist in five matches for Norway.

- Yamal: Also valued at €220 million, after being crowned World Cup champion with Spain, tying with Haaland as the highest-valued player globally.

- Spain’s Pau Cubarsí: €100 million, making him (alongside France’s William Saliba) the most expensive center-back in the world.

- Argentina’s Enzo Fernández: €100 million, following a brilliant tournament with his country, where they finished as runners-up.

- England’s Elliot Anderson: €110 million, after his transfer to Manchester City for €135 million.

- England’s Morgan Rogers: €110 million, after his transfer to Chelsea for €137 million.

Veteran goalkeeper Fússeni (40 years old) from Cape Verde recorded the largest percentage increase, with his value rising from €50,000 to €500,000.
