Mu'tamid Refuses to Work as Assistant Coach of Zamalek

Mohamed Gamal refused the offer to join the coaching staff of Serbian manager Vuk Rašović, who led Zamalek to the Egyptian Premier League title last season.

The club’s management is putting the final touches on Rašović’s contract, making him the new coach of “The White Knights,” with his arrival expected soon to begin preparing the team for the upcoming season.

Zamalek officials are organizing a ceremony to honor Mohamed Gamal, in recognition of his success in leading the team to the league title and the efforts he made with the club during the past season.

Meanwhile, Zamalek defender Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wened is preparing to regain his place in the starting lineup and lead the team’s defense in the new season, following the departure of international player Hossam Abdelmagid, who is set to pursue a professional career with the Bulgarian club Ludogorets.

In a related development, Zamalek officials have finalized the status of player Mustafa El-Zenari, deciding that he will remain with the squad for the upcoming season and will not leave during the summer transfer window, following the end of his loan spell, as part of the technical staff’s plan to strengthen the defense and address the numerical shortage at center-back.
