Barkan with Al-Ahli and Fox Berlin at the Handball Club World Cup

The draw for the IHF Men’s Club World Handball Championship placed Kuwait’s representative and Asian champions, Al-Burqan, in Group 2 alongside the host team, Egypt’s Al-Ahly, Germany’s Füchse Berlin, and the winner of the preliminary match between Hungary’s Veszprém and Australia’s Sydney.

The tournament will be held in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital from September 24 to October 1.

Following the group stage, teams will immediately compete to determine their final positions: group winners will contest the title, second-placed teams will battle for the bronze medal, and the remaining positions from fifth to eighth will be decided by the third- and fourth-placed teams in each group.
