Bashizhian: Supreme Leader's directives... ending the state of no-war, no-peace

President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran continues to operate under the guidance of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, while emphasizing Tehran’s firm stance on safeguarding its rights in any negotiations with Washington.

Pezeshkian clarified on Tuesday that communication between him and the Supreme Leader “is increasing day by day, as part of joint efforts to address the challenges facing the country.”

He added that the Supreme Leader stressed during their meetings the necessity of ending the “no war, no peace” situation Iran has been experiencing, affirming that coordination between them remains ongoing to achieve this goal.

The Iranian president noted that his country “has made progress exceeding expectations in implementing the memorandum of understanding, focusing on opening the Strait of Hormuz for oil exports, but the United States violated its commitments, which he considered to have hindered the implementation of the understandings.”

He affirmed that the Iranian diplomatic apparatus “will never back down from national rights” in any negotiations with Washington.

On domestic affairs, Pezeshkian said that “the enemy sought to target Iran’s infrastructure and impose a comprehensive war, aiming to cause the country’s collapse and create internal pressures and social breakdown, but internal cohesion thwarted those plans.”

The Iranian president criticized certain statements made domestically, considering them to downplay the achievements reached in the negotiation process, and called for not undermining the efforts of the negotiating team through “unconsidered remarks.”

He added that “Iran’s victory in this confrontation depends on the unity of the people and the cohesion of the domestic front,” considering that “the enemy’s failure to achieve its military objectives has pushed it toward dialogue.”
