Al-Yousef coordinates visit to Finger

Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association (KFA), held a meeting with FIFA Secretary-General Matthias Schindler and FIFA Global Football Development Director Arsène Wenger, on the sidelines of his attendance at the 2026 World Cup final between Spain and Argentina (1-0 after extra time) in New Jersey.
The meeting discussed the arrangements and preparations for Wenger’s upcoming visit to Kuwait, to inspect the progress of the Blue Sprouts Academy, hosted by the Kuwait Football Association.
Wenger praised the efforts made by the KFA and its focus on youth development, particularly through the establishment of a school that provides young players with a suitable environment to practice football.
In a separate development, the draw for the indoor football competitions for the 2026-2027 sports season was held today, Tuesday, at the federation’s headquarters. The draw was attended by KFA Secretary-General Dr. Saleh Al-Majroub, Director of the Indoor Competitions Department Faraj Al-Faraj, and representatives of the participating teams.
The draw covered the senior category competitions, including the league, the KFA Cup, and the Fourth Indoor Cup. Additionally, draws were conducted for the Under-23 and Youth leagues and cups.
The league draw resulted in the following fixtures: Kuwait Oil Company versus Salibikhaet, Al-Nasr versus Al-Yarmouk, Al-Qadsia versus Al-Tadamun, and Kazma versus Al-Kuwait.
