Israel Seizes 5,283 Dunams of Land in North Jerusalem

According to Military Order No. (30/26/ت), the decision covers a plot of land extending 725 meters in the areas of “Al-Mantir,” “Ras Al-Marj,” and “Shu’ab Al-Ghazal,” with the possession order remaining in effect until December 31, 2028.

The Jerusalem Municipality stated in a press release that the decision is part of plans to carve out a settler road stretching from Route 60 near the Jaba’a checkpoint to the security barrier alongside the “Nabi Ya’qub” settlement, which has been built on Palestinian land.

It emphasized that military possession orders serve as a tool for imposing new facts on the ground by seizing Palestinian land and expanding the road network connected to settlements, thereby isolating Palestinian communities from their geographic surroundings.

It stressed that settler road projects are not limited to what the occupation claims for military or other purposes, but are linked to plans for actual annexation and connecting settlements to occupied Jerusalem at the expense of Palestinian land.
