Handball coaches Habib obtain the international license

National coaches Hussein Habib (Al-Arabi) and Hussein Habib (Salhiya) obtained the International A-License, certified by the International Handball Federation (IHF), during an international course held in Tokyo from July 11 to 20.

This was the first course of its kind organized by the IHF in Asia to award the International License. It featured the participation of 21 coaches from Kuwait, Japan, South Korea, Qatar, Iran, India, and Thailand, making it one of the most prestigious training courses held in the region.

The course included a select group of prominent Asian coaches, among them the head coaches of the South Korean men’s senior and youth national teams, the head coaches of the South Korean women’s senior, youth, and junior national teams, the head coach of the Japanese women’s youth national team, the head coach of the Japanese league champions, the head coach of the Japanese league’s third-place team, the head coach of the Japanese university team, the head coach of the Indian national team, and the assistant coach of Qatar’s Al-Ahli Club. This lineup added significant technical value to the program and enabled participants to exchange expertise with a group of elite coaching professionals.

The program was supervised by a distinguished group of international instructors, led by Dr. Nabil Taha from Bahrain and Dr. Dietrich from Germany, alongside an international expert from France and Dr. Aiko Yamada from Japan. The lectures covered the latest trends in modern coaching, technical planning, performance analysis, and player preparation, in accordance with the IHF’s most up-to-date curricula.

Obtaining the International License is among the highest coaching qualifications recognized, as it qualifies its holder to lead teams and national squads at the highest technical levels. This achievement reflects the commitment of Kuwaiti coaches to continuous development and the enhancement of their coaching standards.
